Meet Dr. Adam Sperl

Dr. Sperl believes that orthodontic care should be personal, precise, and pressure-free. Every treatment begins with understanding your goals, your lifestyle, and your comfort level — because no two smiles are the same. From there, Dr. Sperl creates a customized, evidence-based treatment plan tailored to you, whether that means braces, clear aligners, expanders, or a combination of care.

He believes the best outcomes come from a collaborative approach, and works closely with your general dentist and dental care team to ensure seamless, integrated care from your first visit to your final retainer. Dr. Sperl is proud to serve families across Medina, Plymouth, Maple Grove, and the surrounding communities, and looks forward to transforming smiles for years to come.

Dr. Adam Sperl earned his Bachelor of Arts from St. John’s University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Masters of Science (MS) in Dentistry, and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota. His clinical research has been published in a leading international orthodontic journal, contributing to advancements in the specialty. After residency, Dr. Sperl achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) — a distinction earned by fewer than half of practicing orthodontists. ABO-Board Certification reflects his commitment to clinical excellence and lifelong learning. Dr. Sperl currently serves on the board of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists.

Before and during his orthodontic residency, Dr. Sperl gained valuable experience practicing as a general dentist — giving him a uniquely comprehensive perspective on comprehensive dental health. Since 2020, Dr. Sperl has helped thousands of patients across the West Metro — from Blaine and Maple Grove to Plymouth, Wayzata, Orono, Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, and Chaska — discover their smile. Now as the founder of Compass Orthodontics in Medina, Dr. Sperl is proud to bring that experience home. He is passionate about mentoring fellow dental professionals and giving back as a leader in his community.
