Every case is different, but here’s a general range to help guide you: • Phase 1 Treatment (early childhood orthodontics) — $2,000–$4,000 • Comprehensive Treatment (braces or clear aligners, full treatment) — $5,000–$8,000 • Limited Adult Clear Aligner Treatment — $3,000–$6,000 These ranges reflect the complexity of your case, the type of treatment, and your individual smile goals. Braces can fit easily into your everyday diet and lifestyle — you can enjoy most of your favorite foods with a little modification. Braces-friendly foods include most proteins, pasta, rice, soft breads, yogurt, smoothies, cheese, muffins, soft granola bars, ice cream, soft chocolate, cooked veggies, and most fruits when sliced. Sticky, chewy, hard, crunchy, and sugary foods can damage brackets and increase your risk of cavities — so skip the caramel, taffy, gum, nuts, ice, and hard candy. Foods like apples, carrots, steak, pizza crust, and bagels are fine if you cut them into smaller pieces first.

Orthodontic retention is for life — and that’s a good thing! Dr. Sperl typically recommends wearing your removable retainer full-time for the first 2 months after treatment, then switching to nighttime wear for life to keep your teeth aligned and your smile looking great. Annual replacement of clear retainers is recommended to maintain the best fit.
